40 - FREYR

Freyr is one of the most important gods in Norse mythology. Worshiped as the god of fertility, Freyr was believed to bestow peace and pleasure to mortals. He ruled the rain, the shine of the sun, and the crops of agriculture. It is also suggested that he has another form, since he has the same titles as Odin.

One of the Vanir, Freyr was the son of the sea god Njord and brother of Freyja. He is the ruler of Alfheim, the land of the Light Elves from the nine realms. He will be killed by Surtr in Ragnarök, but will be resurrected later and play an important role in the new world.
